Hello and a happy new year! It’s been a while hasn’t it? How are you doing?
Things have been a bit quiet over here as I have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, both personally and with where I want to take The Conscious Knitter, on how I can best show up in the world. It’s been a slow process often coming back to the thoughts and feelings I had in the beginning, after taking a long detour through all the ‘shoulds’, but I feel I’m in a place where I’m more aligned and confident with it all now, which has led me back to my blog.
The last 2 years have been a struggle for everyone and what I want most is for The Conscious Knitter to be something that supports both you and me. A place of positivity, connection and support that can help improve your quality of life, not make it harder. That’s why my focus going forward will be to nurture and support you with my patterns and services as well building a community with my day-to-day content, here and on Instagram.
I hope that by reviving this blog that I will also revive my love of writing. I have been thinking a lot about the things that bring me joy and most of them were things that I enjoyed doing as a child, often before I was aware of criticism and judgement making dents in my self confidence but that’s a matter for another time!
I’m looking forward to getting started this year, but if you’re not ready to face it yet that’s ok too. I was right where you are at the beginning of last year and didn’t really get in to the swing of things until around February. It will come when it’s ready and you don’t need to rush or force anything if you’re just not feeling it right now. I’m a firm believer that intentions and words and goals aren’t just for January, so come back for inspiration whenever you’re ready, no matter which month it is!
So that was a quick intro in to where my thoughts are heading, and also a little accountability to help me stay on track and not get distracted by all those shiny ‘shoulds’ that will no doubt be popping up a lot, this month in particular! If this has resonated with you, or if you have any questions or ideas for things you would like me to talk about, or would just like to say hi, you can get in touch as always via email email@example.com, or you can find and DM me on Instagram @theconsiousknitter. I hope to speak to you again very soon.
